Description

Join our team as a Payroll Specialist and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate processing of payroll for our organization. As a key member of our finance department, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration, from timekeeping and deductions to compliance with legal requirements. Additionally, you'll be responsible for reconciliation, record keeping and reporting. This role offers a great opportunity to showcase your expertise in payroll processing while contributing to the financial integrity and efficiency of our company. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working in Paylocity providing payroll support to 500+ team members.
  • Track manager completion and required approvals of timecards, on a biweekly basis, verifying compliance with company policies and procedures regarding Regular, Overtime, Personal, Holiday, Vacation and Sick leave reporting requirements.
  • Enter into the payroll system reported tips, calculated tokes, retro pays, bonus amounts and additional earnings as reported.
  • Enter into payroll system licensing fees, renewal fees and badge replacement fees as reported by TGA and Human Resources.
  • Verify accuracy of rate changes, departmental transfers, shift changes and secondary department information as reported and/or entered by Human Resources.
  • Verify changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, garnishments, loan payments and other adjustments or deductions as reported and/or entered by Human Resources for each team member to update master payroll records.
  • Enter team member advances; prepare checks and supporting documentation for review and signature.
  • Maintain team member confidentiality.
  • Prepare standard reports for review prior to final processing of payroll.
  • Prepare payroll checks and signature sheets for distribution and Cage delivery

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school or GED required.
  • Associates degree preferred – or – one year certificate from college or technical school.
  • Or Education can be substituted for 3 years of payroll experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and other MS office applications.
  • A year payroll software experience required; Paylocity preferred.
  • Experience in processing payroll for tipped, non-tipped, and salary employees.
  • Experience in processing payroll for 200 or more employees.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations required.
