Description
- Able to accurately and efficiently compile and analyze financial information into reports in a meaningful manner.
- Able to accurately and efficiently add entries to the general ledger.
- Able to accurately and efficiently audit and reconcile bank statements and other account reconciliations as assigned, prepare balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Able to accurately and efficiently make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets & expenditures.
- Able to accurately and efficiently review departmental profit & loss explanation responses for appropriateness in order to compile company-level profit & loss explanations.
- Able to accurately and efficiently make recommendations for process improvements around both internal processes as well as spreadsheets.
- Able to accurately and efficiently install, modify, document and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
- Able to accurately and efficiently maintain fixed asset records and assist in tracking the spending for major capital projects.
- Able to assist Casino Accounting Clerks with questions and take a lead role in training and reviewing their work.
- Able to compile daily RG-1 tax packets.
- Follows the Thoughtful Service model at all times.
- Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as Tropicana Evansville’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work a variety of hours, holidays and weekends as necessary.
- Must be available for regularly scheduled work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; Minimum
of 1-2 years accounting experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be able to satisfy the requirements for obtaining
and retaining an Occupational Gaming License from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.hbg
Mathmatical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong working
knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to learn multiple accounting and gaming software applications. Ability to
learn software applications quickly.
