Job Overview: Responsible for the management and completion of assigned construction projects. Oversees all aspects of construction projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of construction projects. Leads and directs the work of others. Prepares reports for management regarding the status of projects. Coordinates the design, maintenance, construction and organization of the built environment used by all company groups.
Elevate & Thrive: Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and oversees in-house resources and outside sources for the completion of projects.
- Establishes project schedules and scope. Meets with team members to assess project scope.
- Prices labor and materials and specifies what will be needed and used for projects. Estimates project costs. Prepares orders to facilitate procurement of needed materials and labor.
- Establishes funding requests and prepares associated paperwork. Maintains oversight of project budget and processing of invoices. Tracks work order status and progress.
- Coordinates development of design through in-house resources or outside sources based on availability.
- Reports project progress and financial status. Codes project information and assures proper storage of essential project records.
Job Requirements
- Degree from an accredited post secondary education institution in construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, or architecture; or equivalent experience through a minimum of five years working in construction project management.
- Four years of experience in project management, construction management or building design while employed by a commercial contractor, developer or design firm.
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret building construction documents.
- Knowledge of current building codes, cost estimating and construction industry safety requirements.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
