Job Overview: Carpenters at Mystic Lake provide skilled carpentry and facility support services that help sustain hotel, Mystic Lake Event Center, and casino operations. This role is responsible for the layout, construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and finishing of interior and exterior structures, fixtures, furnishings, and architectural elements. The Carpenter ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented for guests, events, and daily operations. This position must follow all property policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, tools, and procedures to support evolving operational needs.
Illuminate Your Future: What You'll Do:
- Constructs, erects, assembles and repairs structures and fixtures using a wide variety of construction materials and tools in accordance with building codes and industry recognized health and safety standards.
- Installs door/frame and hardware assembly.
- Perform job site walkthroughs for safety and quality control
- Responsible for layout and installation from plans or sketches. Marks, shapes, cuts and assembles component materials. System furniture installation and modifications.
- Verifies that structures are true, plumb and square. Perform field verifications and measurements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine required materials to complete the assigned project.
- Maintains a neat and organized work area free of hazards.
Job Requirements:
- Any combination of post-secondary education in carpentry and field experience in commercial construction as a carpenter to equal two years.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, layouts, construction documents and schedules.
- Good understanding of basic math.
- Ability to operate tools, machines and other equipment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.

Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift).
