Position Summary |

The Sportsbook Ticket Writer provides excellent customer service to all guests while creating a fun and welcoming experience within the Sportsbook area. The Sportsbook Writer will process Sports Betting transactions promptly, correctly and in compliance with all regulatory and payment policies. All duties are to be performed within the rules of the Sandia Resort & Casino’s policies and procedures, and Internal Controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- To meet the following financial, guest, and internal process KPIs that are essential to our success.
- Acknowledge, greet and converse with customers
- Monitor controls designed to assure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintains betting counters and operational areas; ensures a clean and professional image; ensures betting supplies, racks and materials are maintained and up-to-date
- Prepare and stock all the daily sports sheets
- Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds and procedures to guests as needed
- Provides the services for the Sportsbook by assisting guests, collecting tickets and payments, processing tickets and paying winners.
- Entering sports betting ticket information into computer terminals.
- Process all cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary change accurately.
- Read numbers on Sports Betting tickets and verify for accuracy and pay winning tickets.
- Handles money with accuracy, accepts bets, makes change, pays winners and balances cash bank.
- Ensure that organizational and regulatory policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
- Ensure that the departments present a professional and clean environment for both employees and guests.
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
- Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
