Description

Position Summary

Courteous professional and highly attentive as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest service and creating memorable dining experiences.

Provide guidance and directions to support staff. Delegate tasks such as table setting and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Monitor the performance of assistant staff, providing feedback to improve. Coordinate with assistant staff to ensure workflow and efficient operation of the host station and overall restaurant service. Address any conflicts or issues, promoting a positive and cohesive team environment. Ensure that assistant staff adhere to the standard of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.

2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, taking into account party size and guest preferences.

3. Handle guests inquires, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues to the guest’s satisfaction.

4. Monitor the dining room atmosphere and address any issues that may detract from the guest experience, such as noise or temperature concerns.

5. Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to uphold high standard of service and contribute to a positive work environment.

6. Serve as an ambassador for the brand, embodying values and standard of excellence in every guest interaction.

7. Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs.

8. Direct patrons to coatrooms and waiting areas such as lounges.

9. Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.

10. Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features.

11. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.

12. Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.

13. Provide guests with menus.

14. Maintains clientele’s proper dress code standards.

15. Receive and record patrons' dining reservations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required:

1. One (1) year previous experience in a fine dining/high volume customer service position

2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred:

1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.

License/Certifications/Registrations

1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.

2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
