Job Overview: The National Sales Manager is a high-impact, revenue-driven sales professional responsible for generating new group business through proactive sales efforts, strategic account management, and exceptional client engagement. This position will cultivate new group business in multiple state/regional/national markets, build deep client relationships and represent Mystic Lake Casino Hotel at industry events and trade shows.

Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new group business to exceed individual and team revenue goals.
- Research target markets, qualify leads, and execute effective, strategic sales approaches.
- Manages a portfolio of key accounts, maintaining consistent communication via calls, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
- Delivers persuasive sales presentations to generate leads to turn over to sales team.
- Participates in trade shows, conferences, client events, and sales missions.
- Builds and maintains strong, multi-layer relationships with meeting planners, third-party partners, hotels/resorts, and industry organizations.
- Client Experience & Site Inspections
- Plans detailed site inspections, including coordination of lodging, amenities, transportation, F&B experience, entertainment, and curated itineraries.
- Hosts and entertains clients to strengthen relationships and enhance the likelihood of securing business.
- Supports on-property program execution by attending pre-con meetings, welcoming clients, and ensuring high-touch service exceeds expectation.
- Collaboration & Business Support
- Works closely with internal teams: Sales, Conference Services, Hotel, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Property Leadership to ensure seamless delivery of group programs
- Coordinates with destination partners, CVBs, DMOs, and Hotel stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of the destination, property offerings, competitive landscape, and market trends
- Reporting & Systems
- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation in CRM systems.
- Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales reports as required.
- Ensures timely submission of expenses and adherence to company travel guidelines
Job Requirements: Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectation of this job:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Any combination of bartending experience and/or bartending education to equal one year; or internal team member with successful completion of bartending training period.
- Ability to work a varying schedule.
- Knowledge of point of sales systems a plus.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Alcohol Awareness rules and regulations
