Description

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing department through a hybrid role involving promotional planning, event coordination, and the execution of creative digital marketing strategies. This role requires innovative thinking to increase brand visibility and engagement across multiple platforms (social media, website, and email) while assisting with the on-site execution of events and general marketing initiatives. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts and analyze performance metrics to optimize strategies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Digital Marketing, Social Media & Content Creation

  • Platform Management: Create innovative and timely content and post on multiple social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) for LCCR and its affiliates (Salish Cliffs Golf Club, Seven Inlets Spa). Maintain the voice of the brand across all media platforms.
  • Content Production: Conceptualize and produce engaging content, including writing copy, image resizing, and audio/video filming and editing.
  • Website & Mobile: Develop and lead social engagement strategies on the property website and mobile app, ensuring content is fresh and editorial pages are updated. Coordinate with agencies to manage website structure or changes.
  • Campaigns & Ads: Strategize and build paid-ad campaigns (including SEO/SEM) to promote the LCCR brand to targeted markets.
  • Analytics: Track engagement, analytics, and traffic for social media and websites programs to meet KPIs.

Event Coordination & Promotional Support

  • Execution: Assist in successfully executing marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Logistics & Talent: Assist in managing talent bookings and coordinating logistics for scheduled performances in the Event Center, Starlight Lounge, and other venues. Provide on-site event support, including setup, coordination, and guest engagement.
  • Materials & Briefs: Draft promotion briefs and communication materials. Ensure marketing materials, signage, and collateral are properly distributed and displayed.
  • Calendars: Update and maintain the marketing calendar and community calendars to ensure accuracy and coordination across departments.
  • Compliance: Collaborate with the team to ensure promotion rules and eligibility requirements comply with regulatory guidelines.

General Administrative & Strategic Duties

  • Vendor Liaison: Serve as a liaison between marketing and external vendors/partners.
  • ROI Analysis: Coordinate with the Marketing Database to prepare Pre- and Post-forma analysis of marketing initiatives and events.
  • Communication: Distribute required support information and procedures to team members and other departments to ensure guest service readiness.
  • Trends: Stay current on emerging digital marketing trends and seek innovative ways to engage target audiences

Duties And Responsibilities 

Responsible for internal control and compact compliance regarding operations and ensure compliance with regulation of the Tribal Gaming Commission.

Requirements

Education And/Or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience required: A combination of at least two years in marketing/promotions planning OR experience managing websites and social media platforms in the gaming/hospitality industry is required.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
  • Experience with the casino industry a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Ability to acquire Class III Gaming License issued from Squaxin Island Gaming Commission 
  • Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance.
