Position Summary: Responsible for monitoring, overseeing, and administering the day-to-day Preventative Maintenance operations. Ensure department is properly staffed and motivated to exceed the Resort and Casino’s goals and objectives. Provides day-to-day coordination and leadership to other employees assigned to the department. All while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. Departmental Leadership:
• Supervises technical personnel up to licensed trades technicians.
• Familiarization with workplace safety, education and understanding of OSHA standards,
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Keeps work area clean and perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration in accordance with Facility Maintenance SOPs.
• Prepares written materials (e.g. scope of work, work orders, bids, equipment inventory, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written support and/or conveying information.
• Familiarization with shop practices, operation and use of equipment, hand and power tools, and materials.
• Familiarization with safety, workplace, education and understanding of State and local Safety Orders.
• Familiarization with Blueprint reading, National Electric Code (NEC), Uniform Pluming Code (-UPC), National Fire Protection Association Codes (NEPA), Life Safety Code, and local codes/practices as they pertain to trade.
• Resolves external guest issues and problems in a timely and professional manner, on behalf of management.
• Coordinates and distributes work orders and ensures completion.
• Monitors and maintain quality control standards.
• Maintains inventory of parts and supplies for facilities repairs and orders materials as needed.
• Monitors the maintenance of building electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.
• Performs quality inspections on work completed by contractors.
• Prepares and maintains records on all maintenance activities to include preventative maintenance.
Personnel & Administrative Tasks:
• Performs daily checks, assigns work orders and daily duties per Facility Maintenance SOPs.
• Monitors staff performance, behavior, and attendance to ensure adherence to all the Isleta Resort and Casino’s and administers disciplinary action on behalf of management.
• Schedules and plans shift calendars, communicate departmental and organizational goals, and identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Administers planning sessions and performance reviews on behalf of management.
• Administers training and evaluates new employees on behalf of management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be assigned to drive company vehicle on public roads, to and from Isleta Pueblo properties, and/or other destinations, during shift.
Accountability and Supervision:
Administers supervisory employment actions and responsibilities, on behalf of management, in accordance with the Isleta Resort and Casino’s policies, SOPs, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; administering rewarding and disciplining of employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent, required.
• 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required)
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
• Must possess and maintain a valid trade license relevant to the position (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, General Builder) as required by state and local regulations.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
• Must be flexible with work schedule.
• Must be willing to work any days or hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
• Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
• Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license with no restrictions as part of the employment requirements. Should not have had a driver’s license revoked or suspended in the last 3 years prior to the date of the Employment Application, acceptability will be determined by Risk Management. Driving records will be checked periodically to ensure continued compliance with this requirement.

• Must be knowledgeable of facilities services including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility operations, building maintenance, carpentry, and finish work.
• Must be able to read, understand, and administer instructions written in English.
• Must be able to read, interpret, prepare, draft, and maintain all records, documents, prints, blueprints, and as-built required of the trade.
• Must be able to operate light and heavy equipment, manual tools, power tools, and electric and combustion engine high- high lift equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Must be able to navigate up and down stairs, ladders, crawl spaces, catwalks and uneven surfaces both in and outdoors.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, move and place 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in small, confined areas.
• Work is generally performed in, both an indoor and outdoor Casino setting with exposure and a high noise level. Possible expose to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio-hazards, Blood Borne Pathogens, dirt, dust, fumes, and/or unpleasant odors.
• May involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May occasionally deal with angry or hostile individuals.
• May be required to work weekends and special events
