Overview

Under general supervision of the Director of IT Operations, manages, coordinates and supports all major business applications that are used by Osage Casinos. Primary focus on the delivery of real-time business information and performance reporting across the gaming operations; financial management, patron management, hospitality management and compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICAQTIONS:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related field required and/or 5 years of IT related experience.
  • Five years coordinating technical projects and administering major business applications or systems experience in the Casino / Hospitality industry.
  • Three years previous application administration experience with Casino Operations, Resort Operations, and Finance.
  • Management experience in an IT environment preferred.
  • Strong project management experience required.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain a gaming license issued from Osage Nation.
  • Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
  • Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.

Responsibilities

COMMUNICATION:

  • Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated to assigned staff and ensures staff concerns, request for information, and ideas for improvement are effectively relayed to management.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the area of responsibility by presiding over scheduled meetings with staff and team members as required.
  • Stays informed of company information and communications by reviewing all e-mails, digital boards and SharePoint.

DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:

  • Obtains, develops and maintains necessary personnel, training, and equipment to achieve financial, operational, and guest service expectations.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, evaluating, coaching, and terminating employees.
  • Ensures adequate staffing to meet the organization’s needs and budget.
  • Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication between personnel and business-related activities.
  • Develops support documentation for IT personnel and maintains security and integrity of all assigned application systems and information.
  • Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Assists operating units and department to define software needs and the subsequent evaluation, selection, contracting and deployment of agreed on packages.
  • Manages life cycle of business applications. Develops and implements IT Applications annual project plans.
  • Serve as senior project coordinator for business application projects.
  • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Creates and enforces standards and policies for business application upgrades and new implementation projects.
  • Creates and maintains documentation including by not limited to: application integrations map, support manuals, technical documentation used by IT support personnel, change/modifications to business logic within applications and standard operating procedures.
  • Enforces change management process for all modifications of business applications.
  • Provides regular status updates of business applications related issues and concerns and makes recommendations when necessary.
  • Oversee data classification and enforcement of organizational data classification standards.
  • Manage the data warehouse, ETL, and reporting infrastructure and processes.
  • Annually reviews application maintenance & support agreements for validity and accuracy.
  • Maintains positive, proactive, influential and productive relationships with software and hardware vendors.
  • Organizing cross-property/cross-functional key operator groups for each suite of applications to gather and facilitate standards for usage, work processes, reporting, etc., and to develop needs and requirements for application improvements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
  • Contributes to team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
  • Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude.
  • Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guests and staff.

  • Knowledge of NIGC MICS, ONGC Regulations, departmental, and organizational policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer/computational science, data analysis, and programming technologies, concepts, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of a specific area of science, engineering, and/or technology.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, principles, and practices; computer operations and user environments; and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Project.
  • Skill in presenting and explaining technical information to others.
  • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.
  • Skill in supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Skill in budget preparation and administration.
  • Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational, technical and financial reports.

  • Skill in system troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to specify and develop computer programs using a range of programming languages.
  • Ability to develop, implement, install, test, and troubleshoot complex applications software
  • Ability to record, track, correspond, and document resolution of user problems by means of problem reporting database software.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation for training, software/hardware use, user procedures, and as-required project deliverables.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop appropriate systems and/or applications solutions.
  • Ability to make accurate and sound decisions.
  • Ability to accurately and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to show the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
  • Ability to create clear and thorough reports and organize and maintain files.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is also regularly required to stand for extensive periods of time, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is typically performed within an office, Casino setting, and outdoors.
  • Exposure to second-hand smoke.
  • Outside work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
  • Occasionally may be exposed to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Evening and weekend shifts may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Ability to work nights and weekends required.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between properties and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands.
  • The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult people.
  • The employee may be exposed to risks associated with the use of tools/machinery.
