The Scotts Valley Casino Resort will be a 400,000-square-foot casino resort in Vallejo, California, which will include a casino, restaurants, a hotel and spa, and a family entertainment center with a movie theater, arcade, and a bowling alley. The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians plan to build a $700 million casino resort in Vallejo, California. The plan was approved by the federal government on Jan. 10, 2025. However, on March 29, 2025 the government temporarily rescinded that approval pending a new review on whether the 128-acre building site qualifies for gaming under the "restored lands" exception of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The land is located in Vallejo near I-80 and Highway 37. The Vallejo casino resort project received final approval from the U.S. Department of Interior on Jan. 10, 2025. The 128-acre site was transferred into federal trust to make it eligible for gambling purposes. March: The casino approval granted by the Department of Interior in January was temporarily rescinded by new officials of the Trump Administration.
