SUMMARY:
The Slot Technical Manager oversees the Slot Technicians, Technical repairs for Slot Machines and Slot Repair Maintenance Schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules all Slot Repair employees for their shifts to insure proper floor coverage. Looks ahead and plans for vacations and events that would effect or alter the normal operation of the Slot Repair Department. Insures that all Slot Repair employees schedule breaks.
- Keeps the Casino Games Director informed as to what is expected in his or her absence, and follows up to insure all instructions are carried out.
- Makes entries in the Employee History Files regarding attendance, absences, incidents and overall work performance. Takes immediate, appropriate action to correct any problems that may occur, up to and including disciplinary notices.
- Writes performance evaluations for Slot Repair employees.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Conducts interviews with prospective technical candidates.
- Maintains contact with Outside Vendors and make recommendations on purchases as requested by Royal River Casino Management. Keeps the Senior Gaming Director and/or the Slot Manager advised on any recommendations of purchases.
- Monitors slot part usage and reorders in a timely fashion so as to not run short of repair parts.
- Assigns projects and work assignments to the Slot Repair employees. Advises the Slot Manager on Slot Repair employee work assignments. Follows up to insure work assignments are completed in a professional and timely fashion.
- Works closely with the IT Department on all computerized systems.
- Monitors the over all performance of the Slot Machines and all other designated equipment to insure all are operating at maximum performance.
REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains all record’s as mandated by Royal River Casino Management and Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe Gaming Regulations.
- Fills out any documentation that may be required, by Royal River Casino Management, Tribal, State, and/or Federal agencies. Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of any and all documentation required.
- Read, understand and adhere to South Dakota Gaming Rules & Regulations and Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe Gaming Rules & Regulations.
- Documents with the Casino Games Director and/or Slot Manager, as well as the Slot Managers, in matters that pertain to and/or issues that could effect the over all slot operation. Passes on any memos and documentation as it may pertain to the team as a whole.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- This position requires the person to work on electrical and electronic components in the Casino.
- Must have a Two (2) year degree in electronics or a related field and Three (3) years experience in a Casino Slot Department.
- Must be willing to take any test management deems necessary to qualify for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Orders parts for the On-Line System.
- Provides training to Slot Personnel on Level I, II, III, basic slot machine training.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have a good understanding of General Slot Department work procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with electricity, mechanical components and moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to second hand smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/loud.
