Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring an Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Lodgepole in Sequoia National Park, California. As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will lead the daily success of retail operations across two retail locations, partnering closely with the Retail manager to deliver results, uphold brand and operational standards, execute merchandising and retail strategies, and create exceptional guest experiences.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $70,304 – $76,700 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Lead day-to-day retail, grocery and warehouse operations, ensuring consistent standards, execution
  • Coach, train and develop team members, reinforcing company policies, procedures, and operational standards through consistent floor leadership
  • Implement retail programs for stores to meet corporate standards and achieve goals
  • Manage in-store merchandising and display to ensure maximum visual impact and revenue generation
  • Support inventory control, grocery ordering, receiving, transfers, spoilage control, price changes
  • Manage payroll to business levels; assist with timekeeping accuracy and payroll processes
  • Ability to drive company vehicles throughout property

More about you

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, including coaching, scheduling, and performance support
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of retail operations experience; high-volume, and grocery experience preferred
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, inventory management tools
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical requirements

  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, climbing on ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
