POSITION SUMMARY

The Table Games Dual Rate Dealer / Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing a specific table game according to Cahuilla Casino’s policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming regulations. He or she will alternate between dealing and serving in the capacity of Floor Person providing oversight for dealers and ensuring compliance to gaming regulations and TG protocols and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the protection and control of the game being dealt, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Three Card Poker.
  • Conducts the games in accordance with the Cahuilla Casino’s policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Table Games Supervisor of any irregularities.
  • Advises Table Games Supervisor or Table Games Manager of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
  • Inform Table Games Supervisor or other personnel of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players and their action.
  • Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience, and notifying Table Games Supervisor of any customer needs i.e., cocktails, Host Service, etc.
  • Promotes departmental and property wide promotions.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations as well as the Cahuilla Casino’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Provides oversight and guidance in role as Floor Supervisor to dealers on shift.
  • Communicates errors, infractions, and exceptions to dealers in real time.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Table Games Dealer experience preferred.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of all table games, rules, procedures, and regulations.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Cahuilla Gaming License and submit to random drug/and or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain a California Driver’s License
  • Ability to complete necessary Casino Essentials courses to carry out the job responsibilities.
  • Ability to provide required licenses or certifications for a specific position to ensure job is carried out safely and effectively.

  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.

  • If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a “reasonable time” agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
