Position Summary:

The Special Events & Entertainment Coordinator is an integral part of the Marketing department and will oversee all Special Events, including on-site and off-site events. The Special Events & Entertainment Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing Manager, and the range of responsibilities will include the creation, preparation, execution, and analysis of all entertainment and special events. This position will be responsible for assisting with all of the in-house marketing events.

Native American preference will be given.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversees the development, planning and execution of special events and entertainment functions in support of the goals of the Marketing department.
• Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer
• service-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of computer utilization in marketing/business operations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff
• and the general public.
• Prepares Policies and Procedures for entertainment and special events adhering to regulatory
• compliance and assisting with revising policy when necessary.
• Supports the strategic direction of the Marketing department, including operating procedures,
• structure and efficiency in order to provide maximum value to Tesuque Casino.
• Collaborates with all staff of the Marketing Department to ensure all events are properly advertised; advertising support may include posters, banners, signage, flyer, direct mail and other collateral for
• promotions.
• Demonstrate exceptional level of Guests Services during all promotions, events and entertainment.
• Assist the Marketing department to fully inform and engage the Tesuque Casino team on details of
• all special events and entertainment.
• Creates the strategy for off-site promotions and events and executes them with sponsorships,
• community events and coordinates staff for such functions.
• Responsible for assisting Marketing management with regard to in-house Promotions as needed.
• Provides pre and post-forma Return on Investment (ROI) analysis of all entertainment and special
• events.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years related experience and/or a combination of experience with an
• associate's degree in the related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• (For Key employees) Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming
• License
• Two Years of Customer Service and/or Event Coordination
• Experience related to sound, lights staging, ticketing, and over all event production is
• preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. Theemployeeoccasionallyisrequiredtosit,stoop,kneel,crouch,orcrawl. Theemployeewillbe required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionallyliftormoveuptofifty(50)pounds. Theworkenvironmentincludesavarietyofsettingthe following: food, oils, and cooking surfaces. The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
