Position Summary

Assist Payroll Manager in processing an efficient and accurate payroll and maintaining appropriate payroll reports.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Payroll Manager.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  1. In Payroll Manager’s absence, processes payroll, including, but not limited to, direct deposits and tax payments.
  2. Customer service for employees; i.e., paycheck questions, W4 forms, direct deposits, garnishment information, administration of time and attendance system.
  3. Enters and reconciles payroll data including, but not limited to, adjustments, garnishments, leave of absence, shortages, gaming license, badges, tips, etc., in preparation of processing payroll.
  4. Processes terminations and on demand checks.
  5. Monitors PTO and cash out PTO through time and attendance system.
  6. Prepares and distributes departmental reports.
  7. Maintains confidential payroll information and reports.
  8. Prints payroll checks and stuffs the envelopes.
  9. Performs additional duties as necessary.

  5. Ability to file, use a computer, and standard office machine equipment.
  6. Ability to maintain files in an orderly and updated fashion.
  7. Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications, Education And Experience

Required

  1. High School Diploma or GED certification.
  2. Three (3) years’ experience in payroll.

Preferred

  1. Associates degree in business field.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors.
  2. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
  3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm:  smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  7. Specific required movements include the following:
  • Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry
  • Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate
  • Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate
  • Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
