As a Visual Merchandising and Store Design Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the design, operational, and creative functions of the team within our hospitality portfolio.

Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. Summer internship is May 2026 – August 2026 typically spanning 10-14 weeks. 

Pay

$20.00 – $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Assist in developing visual concepts, mood boards, planograms, and presentation materials for seasonal programs and store updates
  • Support the creation, styling, and documentation of visual merchandising standards, including mock‑ups, photoshoots, window displays, and in‑store installations
  • Gather and organize samples, props, fixtures, and materials while coordinating with vendors and maintaining inventory of display assets
  • Assist with signage programs by proofing artwork, organizing files, preparing distribution lists, and supporting rollout communication and follow‑up
  • Contribute to project organization through Asana, SharePoint, store visits, photo documentation, and recap preparation
  • Provide administrative and team support, including meeting preparation, scheduling, note‑taking, inbox monitoring, and maintaining shared databases and tracking sheets

More about you

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in visual merchandising, retail design, interior design, fashion merchandising, hospitality management, or a related field
  • Strong visual and creative sensibility with an interest in retail and hospitality environments
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, preferred
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana and Trello is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
