First Light Resort & Casino is planned to begin construction by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. It will be a $1 billion destination resort casino in the City of Taunton in Southeastern Massachusetts. The location is 40 miles south of Boston and 20 miles northeast of Providence, RI.
The casino plans reflect a 150,000 sq. ft casino with 3,000 slots, 150 table games, and 40 poker tables. There will also be a hotel wth two 12-story towers and 300 rooms each, an event center and indoor/outdoor water park.
The First Light Welcome Center in Taunton is open 7 days per week with extended hours from 10 AM – 2 AM daily. The Welcome Center operates 200 slot machines, as part of a plan by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe to develop a full-scale casino, the First Light Resort Casino in Taunton, Massachusetts.
