Job Overview: Leads project planning and oversight of entertainment specifications through system design, equipment operation and technical support of audio-visual events. Installs multimedia equipment located on all SMSC Gaming Enterprise and SMSC properties. This role includes designing, operations, maintaining, installing, configuring, repairing, and upgrading a wide range of audio-visual equipment while also ensuring its optimal performance.
Equipment Includes, but not limited to, Televisions/Displays/Video Walls (Installing & Maintaining), Head End Systems - IPTV, Encoders & Audio/Video Distribution, Video Switching, Encoding, Scaling & Processing, Speakers/Audio Systems (Installed and PA for Events & Entertainment), Pro Audio Mixing, Distribution & Processing Gear, Variou Entertainment Lighting & SFX Systems, and General Networking Gear (Cabling, Switches, Routers & WiFi).
Empower Your Future: The Work You’ll Lead:
- Plan, provide, install, maintain, and operate technical audiovisual and entertainment equipment for permanent installs.
- Participate in entertainment and event related stage and location build outs for marketing, promotions and entertainment related endeavors. Work with end users and event leads to ensure the audio-visual requirements for their events are met.
- Actively help to assess audio-visual related needs, research and present purchase and/or rental solutions for consideration.
- Provide audio and video operations and support for events and stage performances (temporary or permanent stages). Work with appropriate project leads in Marketing and Entertainment to ensure objectives for event are met.
- Train department peers and end users in operation of audio visual equipment.
- Assists Entertainment Technical Supervisor in the training and onboarding of new Technical Specialists.
- Maintain and organize department assets.
- Actively participate in the conceptualization of engaging, interactive multimedia projects that enhance the awareness, educational, entertainment or otherwise of events and programs.
Job Requirements: Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectation of this job.
- Any relevant combination of education and experience in technical/audio visual technology to equal 5 years.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Must have experience with indirect leadership of technicians.
- Have excellent listening and communication skills.
- Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays.
