Promotions and Entertainment Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Promotions & Entertainment Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of all onsite and offsite media activities, visual displays, and advertising efforts for the casino. This role involves selecting the most effective advertising methods, materials, and techniques, ensuring accurate marketing materials, and identifying key promotional messages for the market. The coordinator will manage and execute various promotional activities, including concerts, VIP events, giveaways, signage, and logistical management. The position requires developing and managing daily, weekly, and monthly onsite promotions and prizes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provides exceptional guest service to external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you and Goodbye.
  • Responsible for organizing, implementing, and creating visual displays and all in-house promotion themes. 
  • Develops and creates current and future promotions and VIP events. 
  • Coordinates with all departments on all tournaments, promotions, parties, and special events to produce coupons, posters, signage, and invitations, including social media posts and photos.  
  • Works with departments on financial data and completes all proforma and postforma evaluations of promotions and VIP events.
  • Exercises judgment and initiative when reviewing and evaluating department needs, specifications, and requests. 
  • Work effectively with the department managers to ensure the casino reaches customers and initiates repeat business.
  • Develops and manages weekly on-site promotions and prizes.
  • Assists the marketing team on all major events, including slot tournaments, promotions, VIP events, New Year’s Eve, and other special events.
  • Responsible for promotions folder maintenance and direct mailers for events and promotions.
  • Communicates details of all promotions, entertainment, and promotional events to all departments.
  • Assists with holiday events and community development functions.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of casino promotions and customer incentives.
  • Responsible for promotional signage and all communication of various events.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to exchange information clearly and concisely, and present ideas, facts, and technical knowledge effectively. 
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work promotions/VIP events, nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Must obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
  • Stand and walk for 67–100% of the workday.
  • Bend, reach, and use eye/hand coordination for 34–66% of the workday.
  • Sit for 1–33% of the workday.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone for 34–66% of the workday.
  • Exposed to varying temperatures when moving between indoor and outdoor areas for 34–66% of the workday.
  • Exposed to a high level of noise on the casino floor daily.
  • May occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with significant coursework in business management, marketing, or a related field, is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of marketing experience is required.
  • Strong math aptitude and attention to detail required.

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.  To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
