The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians (Tribe) is located in Tuolumne, CA. The governing body of the tribe is a legislative assembly named the "Community Council," composed of eligible voting members of the tribe that live within the community enclosed by the borders of the Tuolumne Rancheria. The executive duties of the tribe are carried out through the Community Council Officers (Officers). There are four Officers consisting of a Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Officers are elected annually from within the Community Council membership.

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Fiscal Department supports Tribal objectives and incorporates procedures in order to become more effective and efficient. While working to continuously set and accomplish goals in the functional areas of budgeting, audit, cash management and investments, grants management, interdepartmental support, accounting transactional support, and policy/procedure development.

The Tribe owns and operates Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne, CA which features four restaurants, three bars, a lounge nightclub, bowling alley and family fun center- along with over a thousand slot machines and 24 table games. Additionally, the Tribe owns the Westside Pavilion, Teleli Golf Course, RV Park and recreation area as well as Bear Creek convenience store and gas station located across the street from the Hotel parking lot.
