FUNCTION

Accountable and responsible for the overall performance and operation of the Finance Department including Accounting, Revenue Audit, Purchasing, Count Room and Gaming Cages.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning, communicating, and implementing procedures for the overall efficient operation of the department.
• Responsible for coordinating the accurate preparation and distribution of the property's budget and financial reporting. Monitors and analyzes results of fiscal performance.
• Assists Vice President and General Manager in approval of expenditures for property.
• Responsible for maintaining departmental compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls.
• Member of property executive management staff.
• Reviews staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities.
• Hires, trains, schedules and evaluates departmental staff.
• Reviews financial activities with Vice President and General Manager, Directors and Managers as necessary.
• Responsible for financial reporting to all required Company and external entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Ten to fifteen years’ experience in accounting as a controller or financial manager or officer with a 4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree, MBA with finance management preferred.
• CPA or other professional accreditation preferred.
