Compensation: $141,200 to $187,000 per year

Summary

Directs all gaming operations by performing the duties personally or through Managers and/or Supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participates in formulating and administering Gaming Department policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
  • Maintains the slot file and ensures all data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Oversee analysis of Slot Performance according to, location, cabinet style and theme.
  • Meets with slot machine vendors, and through analysis and experience, orders new slot machines and slot conversions.
  • Develops and reviews analysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department progress towards stated goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes departments financial reports and makes adjustment to implement efficiencies.
  • Administers department according to the company's strategic business plan.
  • Oversee Slot and Table Games Contracts, monitor, review and submission for execution.
  • Responsible for overseeing the departments budgets.
  • Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee the direct supervision of all Managers and Supervisors in the Gaming Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Gaming Department and its employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation.
  • Skill in developing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring functions related to a gaming operation.
  • Skills in effectively communicating, verbal and written information to employees, managers, clients, customers and the general public, including writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration, including personnel practices and employment law, budgeting, general accounting and fiscal management practices.
  • Skills in assessing operation; staffing and fiscal needs.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving administrative and employee problems under stressful situations.
  • Proficient in the use of a slot accounting system, preferably Oasis Accounting System, AutoCAD and Excel.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, and eight to ten years of direct gaming experience or a combination of education, skills and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100'sAbility to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Physical Demands
