Description

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times.
  • Be able to deal with high-volume customer interactions, and be consistently outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
  • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
  • Observe all activity within assigned area, offering assistance and instruction on machine functions and payouts to slot players.
  • Know the various types of slot machines, and be able to identify major malfunctions and to correct minor machine malfunctions.
  • Identify jackpots to be paid and complete them accurately.
  • Observe activity and report anything that could be associated with a particular slot cheating method.
  • Be familiar with Title 31 guidelines, and understand and utilize suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) when necessary.
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel; seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Ensure slot-playing guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions.
  • Utilize open body language to guests on the casino floor while patrolling; politely speak with and assist guests as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left on the floor by guests.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Use screwdriver, hand-held radio, and other slot-related tools and supplies.
  • Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally's KC and departmental management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
    • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • One year of direct customer contact experience is preferred.
    • Professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
    • Professional appearance, as outlined in theBally'sHandbook/Department SOPs, is required.
    • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
    • Must hold a valid Missouri Gaming Commission occupational license.
    • Must successfully complete and keep up-to-date on all required training, including, but not limited to, SARC, Title 31, and TiPS.
    • Must be able to work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
    • Read, write, and understand simple instructions.
    • Communicate appropriately with all casino customers, casino departments, and fellow team members.
    • Knowledge of basic slot machine functions and ability to troubleshoot.
    • Ability to complete slot-related paperwork with a minimum of errors.
    • Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations.
    • Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under frequent time pressures.

    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: while performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk and stand for an eight-hour shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and lift up to 60 pounds. The team member must also frequently bend, crouch, or stoop. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT: while performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly exposed to variable temperatures, smoke, and bright flashing lights. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
