Position Summary

Supervises shuttle drivers and assists Guest Service Coordinator with operational processes, procedures and issues.  Ensure that routes run on time and adequate transportation services are provided for guests and employees.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Guest Service Coordinator.

Supervises the shuttle drivers and cross-trained to supervise valet attendants.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Assists Guest Services Coordinator with training, scheduling and other employee issues.

Interviews and hires applicants.

  1. Develops and monitors guest services standards drivers are providing guests.
  2. Monitors and updates the driving records and certifications of the shuttle drivers.
  3. Assists in mapping, planning routes and coordinates with area hotels and conference centers for pickup and returns of guests to/from the casino.
  4. Assists with shuttle driver to maintain vehicles for services and cleanliness of all department vehicles.
  5. Contributes to the historical database for vehicle usage and maintenance of all department vehicles.
  6. Assists in maintaining a credit card log for fuel usage of department vehicles.
  7. Maintains accountability and usage of vehicle keys.
  8. Ensures that drivers are following the set department standard operational procedures.
  9. Reports any accidents/incidents and/or damage to vehicles utilizing the transportation service.
  10. Greets and assists guests.
  11. Enters maintenance records of fleet vehicles into the Fleet Management System.
  12. Performs job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  1. Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.
  2. Knowledge of transportation operating requirements.
  3. Must be able to present a MVD license record report with good standings.
  4. Ability to drive a vehicle equipped with standard transmission.
  5. Exhibits a strong commitment to the company and the owners.
  6. Must furnish proof of valid personal insurance.
  7. Ability to provide exceptional guest services.

Minimum Qualifications, Education And Experience

Required

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Three (3) years’ work experience within a transportation and/or hospitality industry including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity
  3. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.

Preferred

  1. New Mexico State Commercial Driver’s License(CDL)

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoors work is subject to reach extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
  2. Work hours are subject to change with overtime work required.
  3. Must be in good to great physical health condition.
  4. Work duties may require night driving.
  5. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  6. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement, asphalt structures and surfaces.
  7. Duties may involve stair climbing, walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  8. Specific required movements include the following:
    • Trunk – bend, twist, rotate, push, pull and carry.
    • Arms – reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist and rotate.
    • Legs – lift, push, pull, twist and rotate.
    • Hands – grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
