What will you do?

• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure lock-out and cool-out area, ensuring all kennels are properly locked and sanitized before and after each racing performance 
• Inspect the lock-out environment and greyhound holding crates prior to each race, monitoring ambient temperature and overall conditions 
• Oversee the placement and removal of greyhounds in designated crates and inspect each dog for general health before handing off to the leadout 
• Report any signs of injury or illness to the State Veterinarian promptly and ensure compliance with all greyhound racing rules and policies 
• Supervise cleaning procedures, including mopping and water removal, to maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout the facility

• No experience or degree required 

Physical requirements

• Ability to handle dogs ranging from 50-100 pounds
• Environment Details: Exposure to dog urine/fecal matter/dander/odors, high volume noise, dirt/sand/dust, possible hazardous materials/fumes(cleaning supplies).
