About the Role:

The Assistant Casino Shift Manager is responsible for supporting the Casino Shift Manager in the overall operation of table games and slots. The Assistant Casino Shift Manager also plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the casino during their assigned shifts when the Casino Shift Manager is not present. This position involves overseeing gaming activities, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This job is also responsible for assisting and advising other departments managers, supervisors and company personnel when department head directors are not available to assure the successful performance of duties. The Assistant Casino Shift Manager will also be responsible for addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. Additionally, they will assist in training slots and table games new employees and implementing operational procedures to maintain high standards of service. Ultimately, the Assistant Casino Shift Manager contributes to the casino's success by fostering a safe, enjoyable, and efficient gaming environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a casino or hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of gaming regulations and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the gaming industry.
  • Knowledgeable about Gaming laws and regulations in Mississippi and the day-to-day normal casino operation guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of casino staff during assigned shifts.
  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of table games and slots
  • Monitor gaming operations to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees on operational procedures and customer service standards.
  • Prepare reports on shift activities, including financial transactions and employee performance.

The required skills for this position include strong leadership abilities, which are essential for supervising staff and ensuring a cohesive team environment. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Attention to detail is crucial for monitoring compliance with gaming regulations and maintaining operational standards. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of casino operations, will enhance the Assistant Manager's ability to implement best practices and improve overall service quality.
