JOB  SUMMARY:
Assists the ITS Director with planning, managing, and facilitating the identification and acquisition of information technology required to meet specific department and overall casino business goals and objectives, and partners with business users and senior management to identify technology solutions that meet or exceed specific business and regulatory compliance requirements. Candidate must possess ability to manage and motivate personnel to achieve excellence.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and five (5) years experience managing information technology operations, including three (3) years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Gaming Industry experience is preferred but similar industry expertise may be considered outside the Hospitality field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of computers and the accomplishment of routine paperwork.  Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly is required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and occasionally lift up to 50-pounds. The work is generally performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and high noise levels.

SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED:

  • Manages the Casino’s information technology operations including Project Management, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Service Desk, and Administrative functions.
  • Assists the ITS Director in the establishment of Information Technology plans, goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Monitors ITS Department processes to ensure compliance with data security standards as well as Federal, State, and Local controls, regulations, and laws.
  • Manages the implementation and ongoing maintenance of all information technology assets including hardware, software, and infrastructure.
  • Analyzes business processes and identifies cost effective information technology solutions consistent with the casino’s business requirements and functions.
  • Makes recommendations to senior management regarding all aspects of information technology.
  • Conducts information technology project management activities including needs analysis, cost benefit analysis, product selection, contract negotiation, project implementation, and documentation.
  • Trains and develops department staff to assist them in the progression of their positions, development of their skills and future potential, and to maintain a high level of knowledge in computer systems and associated technologies.
  • Assists in the development of departmental polices and internal controls.
  • Addresses and ensures the proper and timely resolution of technology issues; provides assistance to technical personnel in troubleshooting advanced problems and anomalies.
  • Liaises with vendors regarding the evaluation of software and hardware products and the maintenance of in-house technology.
  • Oversees ordering of inventory, to include managing costs and controlling stock.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work, manages personnel files, rewards and disciplines team members, addresses complaints, and resolves problems for team members as well as guests.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing a variety of resources to complete research and ability to summarize and present findings to ITS Director in a professional and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated track record as an organizational change-agent. Exposure to Organizational Design and Performance Model best practices.
  • Provides input to executive management regarding overall policy and procedure improvements related to the ITS or user systems.
  • Institutes a program of ongoing training and development of staff.
  • Identifies and develops personnel to become future supervisors and managers of the department.
  • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
  • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
  • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.
  • Explains the “why” behind the resolution or action for the guest.
  • Pays attention to detail and conducts thorough research to make the best decision for the guest and the business.
  • Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ Purpose, Values and Objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.

  • Reviews and approves all recommendations for corrective counseling, staff promotions, and training.
  • Responsible for the timely submission of annual performance reviews.
  • May be left in charge of the department during the absence of the ITS Director.

The property, owned by the Yakama Indian Nation, features more than 1,300 slot machines, 19 table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow, and Spanish 21.
