As a Hotel Houseperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standard of cleanliness that our guests expect and deserve. From ensuring pristine public areas to supporting our housekeeping team behind the scenes, your dedication and attention to detail will shine through in every aspect of your work. In this role, you will be responsible for stocking and maintaining each linen room, while assisting room attendants with all daily hotel functions. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Stock all linen rooms to par daily.
- Keep premises of the Hotel in clean and orderly condition.
- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Polish, buff hard floors, shampoo carpets & upholstery.
- Assist attendants on making beds.
- Assist in cleaning of hotel rooms stay overs and due outs.
- Assist with quarterly mattress flipping.
- Wash and stock all hotel mugs and glasses.
- Shampoo and assist with the removal and replacement of mattresses.
- Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays.
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom supplies.
- Assist Hotel Room Attendants with garbage, linen, stocking, etc.
- Assist Hotel laundry when advised
- Advise Hotel Facilities / Housekeeping Manager immediately of repair and maintenance needs.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three months related experience and / or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Class II Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission (must be able to pass a background check).
- Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance
