Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees all advertising and public relations programs through internal efforts, interval agencies and vendors. Review and evaluate all advertising and media programs.
• Ensures the effective management, development, implementation and execution of property promotions.
• Tracks all programs for efficiency. Monitor daily revenues to insure effectiveness of each program.
• Serves as casino spokesperson in media and public arenas where deemed appropriate.
• Works with internal agencies to effectively and efficiently track and report results for all property promotions, entertainment and player's events.
• Oversees the coordination, scheduling, execution and contracts for all promotional and entertainment events.
• Monitors expenses versus budget figures to ensure compliance.
• Provides support with regards to research and analysis of casino expenses and revenues, customer service and quality standards.
• Coordinates with necessary external vendors and internal departments to ensure efficiency of all events and promotions.
• Maintains timely procedures for the tracking and execution of all pertinent expenses with regard to promotional and entertainment events.

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years senior level casino marketing experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
• This position requires organizational skills, the ability to work with a minimum of supervision and independent problem solving.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written format.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend written instructions..
• Must pose excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Must possess excellent communication and phone skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to implement new policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret an apply guidelines and procedures.
• Must possess skills in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management.  Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Ability to operate a computer, telephone, copier.
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, grammar, spelling, math, and filing. 
• Must have leadership skills, team-building abilities, and excellent customer relations and communications skills.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must successfully pass drug screen and tribal gaming commission licensing.

Tribal Preference Policy

Members of the Jena Band of Choctaw Tribe shall be given absolute preference with respect to hiring, promotions, training, contracting, and separation from employment.  For persons who meet the minimum qualifications, preferential treatment shall be based on the following criteria and shall be given in the following order:

• Enrolled members of the Jena Band of Choctaw tribe who satisfy the minimum job qualifications
• Spouses of enrolled members of the Jena Band of Choctaw who satisfy the minimum job qualifications
• Enrolled members of other recognized tribes who satisfy the minimum job qualifications
