Ho-Chunk Nation - Department of Business/Ho-Chunk Gaming

The Ho-Chunk Nation government is comprised of four branches of government; executive, legislative, judicial and the general council. This government was set up to provide a communication tool to deal with Federal, State and local governments. It is based on our constitutions of 1963 and 1994. The Ho-Chunk Nation also has a traditional government system based on a chief and clan system.

The power of the Executive Branch is vested in the President of the Ho-Chunk Nation. The President is responsible for implementing and enforcing the laws of the Nation.

The Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Business provides management of the revenue-generating operations including the casinos, hotels, C-stores, campgrounds and bingo halls. The Department of Business is responsible for generating the net income distribution; these are the funds used for the Ho-Chunk Nation’s governmental services, per-capita payments, and governmental operations. Our six casinos are owned by the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin.

Our 7th new casino, Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit currently under construction in Beloit, WI, will be 1.2 million-square-foot casino, hotel, conference center and parking structure and is being built in two stages. The casino, which will be the second largest in Wisconsin when complete, is being built first with construction scheduled to be done by June 2026. The 18-story, 312-room hotel and 75,000-square-foot conference center will be completed in 2027.

Our current casinos include:

Ho-Chunk Wisconsin Dells - a casino and hotel conveniently located just off Interstate 90/94 at Exit 92 in Wisconsin Dells, a little over 3 hours from downtown Chicago.

It is one of the three largest casinos in Wisconsin. It is a Class III casino which provides elegant hotel rooms in the area, exciting casino action and great live entertainment all year round. The casino hotel features over 1,000 slots and table games and a hotel with 302 stylish deluxe rooms/suites, as well as an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna.

Our beautiful convention center features Upper and Lower Dells ballrooms, which accommodate 1,000 guests and smaller boardrooms are also available for breakout sessions.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls - offers 38,000 sq. ft. of gaming with 700 reel, progressive, & video slot machines and Blackjack Table Games. 

Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison - is designed to reflect a prairie-style atmosphere with touches of Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired styling that flows throughout the corridors and gaming floor. It features over 1,300 state-of-the-art Class II bingo slot games, casual dining at the Gamers Grill, and is 100% Smoke-Free. 

Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa - is nestled within the backwoods of Nekoosa, just minutes from Lake Petenwell. The casino features 400 slot machines, a full-service bar, Veteran promotions and VIP benefits. The “Rewards Club” is a points based program redeemable for hotel rooms and merchandise, as well as special offers, food discounts, entertainment discounts and other incentives.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg - is located off of Hwy 45, 1 mile north of Hwy 29, Wittenberg, Wisconsin. The casino provides over 18,000 square feet of gaming space and a hotel ,which includes a conference room and Sundry. Food & Beverage venues include the Forest Edge Snack Bar, the River's Edge Restaurant and the Village Bar located in the heart of our casino floor.

HCG-Black Tomah - offers 1,890 sq. ft. of gaming with 100 slots.
