Fortune Bay Resort Casino is located on the shores of Lake Vermilion in northeastern Minnesota.  Our property is owned and operated by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa. The employment ranges from 400 during our shoulder season and nearly 500 during our peak season.

The property began as a high stakes bingo hall in 1986, but within 10 years added a 114-room resort, RV Park, marina, dining options and 24/7 gaming. We followed that expansion with a conference center, restaurant and a world-class golf course. We added 58 premium rooms and suites in 2006 to meet our growing demand of gamers and vacationers. The Sunset Steakhouse was added in 2013.

Fortune Bay features two floors of gaming that house over 850 slot machines, a poker room and blackjack pit. We just recently added a high limit blackjack pit to appeal to the more serious table game player.  We feature live music on our resort patio during the summer months and offer year-round entertainment in our North Star Lounge. We also utilize The Woodlands Ballroom for national acts and other forms of entertainment throughout the year.

While gaming is our core business, we are also establishing ourselves as  a destination property that offers something for everyone.
