Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
  • Provide accurate and efficient dealing while following proper game procedures.
  • Perform accurate chip and cash transactions.
  • Observe or receive wagers from guest and take or pay the appropriate game outcomes.
  • Maintain game security and protect company assets at all times.
  • Assist guests in understanding the rules and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Collect Rake and Promotional Funds
  • Chip Runner
  • May deal in gaming tournaments.
  • Notify Leadership immediately of any irregularities or any guest requests which are outside of a Poker Dealer's authority or knowledge.
  • Provide guests with information on how to play the game if requested.
  • Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities

When operating as a Supervisor, additional duties include the following:

  • Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience
  • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash
  • Six months experience in customer service field preferred
  • Must be able to successfully complete an audition displaying adequate Poker Dealing skills
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Poker operating systems.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, team members and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to earn and maintain TiPS certification.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

The employee will be exposed to prolonged standing for extended periods of time (shift duration).

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
