Summary:

Position Overview

Performs cash handling, product handling, cleaning, and food preparation within a convenience store environment located within the Department of Business Retail Division. The primary goal of the positions is to perform top level customer service for internal and external guests.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION:

1. High school diploma or GED/HSGED, or within 12 months of hire/transfer with work improvement plan and quarterly updates. 

ESSENTIAL:

1. Must have dependable transportation to and from work at time of hire.

2. No prior criminal charges, including but not limited to violence, retail theft, fraud or issuance of worthless checks within the past seven (7) years.

3. Obtain all required certifications (at employer’s direction and expense) within 3 months of hire, including but not limited to C Operator, Food Safety, We Card, and where appropriate and if the employee is 18 years of age or older Safe Serve.

4. Maintain compliance with the Ho-Chunk Nations’ ERA (Employee Relations Act), Occupational Safety and Health Program Act.

5. Must possess good money handling skills and be able to pass change count back test at time of interview or prior to being placed in position.

EXPERIENCE:

1. One (1) year of experience within a retail cash handling industry, preferred.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit

The Casino portion of the $705 million Ho-Chunk Beloit development will open soon with 1,500 slot machines, 44 table games, a Sports Book, and multiple dining and beverage options.

The resort sits on a 32-acre site at the southeast corner of Willowbrook and Colley roads, near Interstate 39-90. Situated on a 32-acre site at the southeast corner of Willowbrook and Colley Roads in Beloit, Wisconsin, the upcoming Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit is set to become one of the largest entertainment developments in the region.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit will be a leading regional employer and prominent developer of real estate and other capital projects in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. The Ho-Chunk Nation’s Gaming Corporation oversees the management of its gaming enterprises.

The Beloit project will expand the Nation’s Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin brand, which currently operates six casinos across the state. The new property will feature a Casino with 44 Table Games and 1,500 Slots, a 312-room hotel with a roof top lounge, multiple dining and beverage venues, a 2,000-seat convention center, which will host both conferences and concerts, and parking facilities.

The project represents a major economic development initiative for the federally recognized Ho-Chunk Nation, which has approximately 7,800 citizens and trust lands across 14 Wisconsin counties.
