Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Finance Director, the Lead Audit Clerk is responsible for review of daily audits for Tesuque Casino. Communicates discrepancies with management and is a key liaison in all internal and external audits. Prepares reports and analysis for management as needed. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Note: Native American preference will be given.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Tracks projects related to the gaming floor.
- Works with Finance and Slot Departments to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assists in preparation of financial reporting as required.
- Prepares and keys journal entries as needed.
- Verifies accuracy of information transmitted to the financial reporting system.
- Audit and reconcile casino cage and all gaming areas daily.
- Prepare daily gaming and analysis reports.
- Verify and record revenue from gaming areas.
- Prepare discrepancy reports for audit exception reports.
- Prepare and review slot gaming tax reports.
- Secure and maintain financial original documents.
- Analyze and reconcile gaming and food and beverage general ledger account to summary daily reports.
- Maintains necessary internal controls in compliance with legislated regulation and company policy.
- Review and prepare daily operating statements.
- Post daily cash summary entries to general ledger and maintain bankroll control reconciliation.
- Any other duties as needed.

Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent or any combination of education and experience totaling two (2) years.
- Procedures and record keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience Casino Gaming or related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience.
- Possess strong organizational, communication, employee relations, and decision-making skills.
- Must be prolific using 10-key adding machine.
- Be computer literate.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to ten (10) pounds. The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
