Description

The Slot Operations Floor Supervisor approves jackpot payouts within established guidelines.  Supervises Slot Attendants on assigned shifts.  Monitors and assists in the operation of assigned shifts. Maintains a working knowledge of slot policies and procedures. Maintains a gaming environment that is exciting and welcoming to the guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and review daily staffing levels for proper coverage according to guest counts and assist Shift Manager(s) in establishing proper staffing levels.
  • Approve jackpots up to the established level and ensures all necessary forms are completed accurately.
  • Assist in training new team members and update all team members on new policies and procedures.
  • Complete necessary shift documentation and reports indicating overages, shortages, attendance, staff issues or variances.
  • Investigates and helps resolve guest complaints or concerns.
  • Performs minor repair work on slot machines.
  • Supervises in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Attends meetings, trainings, and conferences with little notice.
  • Must satisfactorily complete all training assigned by the Resort.
  • Must successfully complete the LRCR Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training and Title 31 training prior to performing job duties.
  • Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Little River Casino  Resort and of the Slot Operations department.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to the emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to the Resorts Health & Safety Program.

Requirements

Minimum Necessary Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Two (2) years of experience in Slot Operations
  • Knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations
  • Must obtain Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) Certification within 90-days and maintain throughout employment

Working Environment

A working environment is the setting, social features and physical conditions in which a job is performed. The general working environment for the Resort is office, gaming floor, food outlet, hotel and convention/entertainment center including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and a smoke filled environment. Must be flexible with work schedule for any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasional overtime required. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. Position specific working environment includes but not limited to: Extensive computer use and high volume direct public contact. 

Physical Demands

Refers to the level and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform critical tasks in support of job functions. Must be able to operate computer equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to hear and speak to guests. Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand for periods of up to 8 hours. Must have a good sense of balance and be able to bend and kneel. Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects up to 250 pounds with assistance occasionally during a shift. Must have near sight, color vision and depth perception. Must have the ability to independently lift up to ­50 pounds occasionally. Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate computer equipment. Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.

Additional Information

Hourly Wage: $18.46

Little River Casino Resort is owned by the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. This tribal casino is located in Manistee, Northern Michigan. The casino operates seven days a week, 24-hours a day. The casino features a 44,000 square foot gaming area with over 1,100 slot machines and dozens of table games.
