Job Description

We’re looking for a Sportsbook Commercial Director that will own the commercial strategy for FanDuel’s Omnichannel roadmap across the retail Sportsbooks. This person will work cross-functionally to define and execute against a best-in-class strategy.

 

The Game Plan
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Provide analysis of available digital research and data to mine insights, generate strategies and measurements, identify appropriate channels and tactics, and successfully communicate them to the wider business
  • Generate Omnichannel thought leadership and actively participate in cross departmental projects to communicate the overall vision and objectives
  • Maintain a forward-thinking approach to innovation and continuing to stay one-step ahead of our competitors
  • Assist with developing roadmap for Omnichannel initiatives
  • Partner with Marketing and CRM teams to analyze customer data and utilize important information to improve conversion and share of wallet
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Product and Operations to identify opportunities to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and in venue customer experience
  • Understand and synthesize digital retailing trends and the immediate and long-term impacts, implications and opportunities the provide our business
  • Assess new investment ideas and build business cases to support the decision process that helps us drive our market share
  • Monitor the business performance, key drivers and trends, and report regularly to the leadership team
  • Sets aggressive and measurable goals for Omnichannel activities with regards to revenue growth, penetration rates and cross property play
  • Develop and execute plans to maximize leveraging our market access partner loyalty programs to drive sportsbook revenue
Requirements

GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

What we're looking for in our next teammate 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial/analytics/customer intelligence is preferable
  • Strategic Mind-set: takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications
  • Collaborates: is a team player - works with the team and stakeholders across the organization to get things done
  • Commercial acumen: has a nose for business and understand the levers
  • Proficient with SQL and other analytic tools (e.g. KNIME, Python, R) preferred 
  • Experience in online businesses/ecommerce
  • Passionate about sport and/or gambling
  • Understand the different components of a P&L and is familiar with the budgeting process
  • Understanding of online/digital marketing

Licensure

All candidate must be able to pass required licensing as mandated by various state racing and gaming regulatory bodies. Failure to be licensed or retain licensure will result in termination of employment.
