SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring operations of the restaurant and beverage service, on an assigned shift, and employee performances are in accordance with guest service and operational standards, and gaming regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to venue operations; monitors Food Attendants, Beverage Servers, Bartender, and Barbacks, and ensures smooth and efficient operations on a continual basis.
* Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service and employee relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner.
* Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards/regulations as well as all applicable federal, state and local laws/ordinances.
* Ensures compliance with all C.A.R.E. and liquor control guidelines set forth by Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians Gaming Commission.
* Completes scheduling of Food & Beverage employees and ensures correct staffing levels and adjustments are made in accordance with guest needs/business volumes.
* Monitors job performance of all Food and Beverage employees and provides feedback on same to aid the employees in developing and enhancing skills.
* Provides input to the Assistant Shift Manager and FWCR Executive Food &Beverage Management concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of improvement.
* Provides data and reporting to FWCR Executive Food &Beverage Management as requested
* Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
* Conducts pre-shift meetings with all staff. Assigns sections and facilitates the flow of information throughout the Department.
* Supervises, reports, and makes necessary adjustments pertaining to all employee call-ins and scheduling conflicts to ensure standard staffing levels according to business volumes.
* Completes all administrative reports, schedules, forms, departmental programs within timeframes and guidelines set forth.
* Monitors guest alcohol consumption and responds accordingly. Administers coffee-talks and cut-off procedures as necessary and within guidelines.
* Works in and ensures a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized environment.
* Assists with the completion of daily beverage orders, food orders, and monthly inventory counts according to guidelines.
* Is held accountable for confidentiality and accuracy of departmental/company records and reports.
* Schedules and attends meetings and training sessions as required.
* Reviews and makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, suspend, transfer, promote, evaluate, discipline and terminate all employees in a fair and equitable manner.
* Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy.
* Acts as an ACES and T.R.I.F. role model, reporting to assigned shift on time, fostering a positive and enthusiastic work environment for all employees. Builds relationships with other departments and encourage teamwork, respect and providing excellent guest service.
* Listens to, evaluates and handles guest comments in a way that satisfies the guest to their satisfaction.
* Maintains knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and regulations as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.
* Performs additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One to three years related supervisory experience preferred, Food and Beverage experience is preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Appropriate licenses, as required. ServSafe® certification, C.A.R.E. certification or ability to become certified, required. Knowledge of HACCP standards required.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
