SUMMARY:
Responsible for implementing and ensuring all housekeeping operations on assigned shift are in accordance with policies and procedures and high standard levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Ensures all policies and procedures are adhered to in the Environmental Services Department on assigned shift.
* Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
* Maintains strict adherence to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
* Supervises environmental services staff activities throughout the casino to ensure that approved standards of cleanliness are met.
* Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, discipline and discharge of environmental services employees.
* Advises management of necessary repairs and replacements in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms and offices.
* Interacts with guests and other casino department in a professional and courteous manner.
* Checks to make sure employees have proper supplies and equipment to complete the job.
* Trains employees in the proper cleaning techniques
* Trains employees in the proper use of chemicals. Makes sure all bottles are labeled properly and ensures chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.
* Maintains all work areas and ensures environmental services equipment is free of safety violations. Reports any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to shift manager.
* Ensures that all employees comply with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises all Lead Environmental Services Engineers and Environmental Services Engineers.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required with two to three years experience in housekeeping. Supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
