Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Handle, install, convert, perform initial set-up, and check out of slot machines and signage including accessing, reading, and interpreting Probability Accounting Report (PAR) sheets. 
  2. *Oversee projects and provide project status updates to management. 
  3. *Break down, relocate, and reset up machines and stands to be relocated.
  4. *Perform initial install of slot accounting system components and communication.
  5. *Perform initial verification of new software upon arrival.
  6. *Perform slot machine RAM clears/key chip and set-up of options as needed including Bill Validator (BV) and printer set up/flashing. 
  7. *Maintain slot machine install documents.
  8. *Create and complete Soft Count Bill Acceptor Box (cashbox) Replacement Form paperwork and have access to empty cashboxes. 
  9.  Assist in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times as requested.  
  10. Maintain knowledge of and ensure full compliance of gaming laws (federal, tribal, and state) and attendant regulations.  
  11. Provide exceptional and professional service to guests and team members.
  12. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

  1. High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience as a Slot Technician or 3 years of related technician experience are required.  A related Associate’s Degree or technical certification can take the place of 1 year of related technical experience.
  2. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency. 
  3. The ability to interpret and follow instructions from technical manuals. 
  4. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.  
  5. The ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner. 
  6. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift, move, push, and pull 30 pounds on their own on a regular basis and push, pull, lift, move objects up to 300 pounds with the assistance of another team member, dolly, or machine lift.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

 Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases.  The facility is not smoke free.
