Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with other Managers and Culinary to create a cohesive team across all F&B Operations.
Responsible for ensuring proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines.
Manages labor & other expenses to budget.
Responsible for development & performance of FOH Assistant Managers, supervisors and front line staff.
Effective communicator to leadership, front line, support departments and customers.
Responsible for hiring, managing, developing the food operations team.
Cultivates relationships with support departments ensuring expected outcome and team work.
Communicates with operational departments and ensures appropriate information disseminated to F&B staff.
Collaborates with the marketing team, creating plans to engage our customers and team.
Establishes performance & profit objectives for properties F&B outlets.
Programs/ updates menus and specials in Micros.
Responsible for creation, implementation & enforcement F&B procedures.
Responsible for setting & maintaining a high level of expectations for food quality, service & overall culture.
Models a high level of integrity, service and team engagement in all areas of our operation and support departments.
Maintains open lines of communication and creates a team atmosphere with Culinary, Stewarding and Beverage Operations..
Performs the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide. Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino – Des Plaines ICS.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Accredited degree or certification in hospitality management, culinary arts, catering or something similar and 3-5 years of experience in food & beverage front of the house/culinary management or a combination of the two preferred.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and team members.
Possesses ability to work under pressure.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.
Must be able to use a computer to enter requisitions.
Must be able to understand and communicate Material Data Safety Sheets to all team members.
Must be detail oriented.
Must possess excellent leadership / motivation skills.
Must possess excellent organization and planning skills.
Must possess budget and mathematical skills.
Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
Physical and Mental Demands:
Frequent walking.
Bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods of time.
Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds at a time.
