Under the direction of the Supervisor, Transportation, the Elite Executive Driver holds responsibility for the efficient and secure transportation of internal and external VIP guests within properly maintained luxury transport vehicles. This position possesses critical skills in the area of safety and emergency response as it applies to security services in order to guarantee the utmost protection for all guests in their care. Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor and ensures a Best in Class Service at all times while championing the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribal Community’s vision, mission and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides a Best in Class experience for both internal and external VIP guests. Ensures efficient, secure, safe, and professional transportation in both armored and non-armored luxury vehicles.2. Transports passengers under conditions and circumstances of increased security threats. Maintains constant situational awareness of surrounding vehicles and personnel throughout transport. Provides rapid egress for dignitaries from hostile areas/situations. Is responsible for recognizing and avoiding assaults and threats on vehicle and passengers in their care.3. Plans routes ensuring safety of passengers at all times. Maintains detailed knowledge of safest routes within travel region. Develops alternate courses to mitigate traffic while assessing and avoiding stationary and mobile threats and hazards.4. Maintains close communication with leadership during all movements. Remains vigilant and alert at all times while on assignment. Ensures vehicle is never unattended while with passengers, and conducts a 360-degree vehicle sweep before and after any movement.5. Ensures assigned vehicle is operational and well maintained, including inventory of all necessary communication and emergency equipment. Conducts daily checks (oil, fuel, brakes, tires, battery, tool kits, etc.) on all assigned vehicles, before the commencement of any trip/mission. Reports any defects to leadership for immediate repair and maintenance.6. Maintains an exceptionally clean vehicle environment inclusive of replenishing vehicle fluids, sweeping out vehicles, cleaning up spills, and cleaning internal and external surfaces.7. Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws while providing executive driving protection services. Completes suspicious activity reports, incident reports, shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports and other administrative requirements as required.8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required.
Minimum of three (3) years of security driving, executive protection and/or related security service experience required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience with Local Road and Route traffic patterns and driving highly preferred
Experience with basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Law Enforcement or Military Experience highly preferred
Emergency Vehicle Operations Center Training preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, as he/she will be required to interact with guests from all demographics.
Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers required.
Must be able to speak English and possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Must be able to maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, and other VIP clients.
Must possess the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Must possess the ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must have or obtain a California Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, B, or C with a passenger endorsement with a valid DMV Medical Certificate.
Select One of the Following: Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

Primary work environment is inclusive of a climate-controlled vehicle and varying environments within route of transportation.
Work requires travel on roads and highways.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. May operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
