FIRST NATION GAMING, LLC. (FNG) is a Native American owned company that develops and manages casino facilities owned by other Native American tribes. FNG currently has management agreements with several tribes, and is negotiating with others. FNG is consulting with Paragon Casino operated by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe in Marksville, Louisiana. In April 2001, FNG and the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians opened the Valley View Casino in Valley Center, California. In May 2001, FNG and the Santa Clara Pueblo opened the Big Rock Casino/Bowl in Espanola, New Mexico. FNG and the Campo Band of Mission Indians are planning the late Summer 2001 opening of the Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center in Campo, California. Planning of casino development and management for other tribes in California, Okalahoma and Massachusetts is underway.
Tunica-Biloxi tribe operates a 1000,000 square foot casino with 2,178 slots, 44 table games, 7 poker tables, 5 food venues, a 219-room hotel, a 20,000 square foot convention and entertainment complex, an 18-hole championship golf course and an R.V. park.
Valley View Casino
Valley View Casino opened in April 2001 and is the first of two casinos for the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians. Valley View Casino is a 40,000 square foot facility employs approximately 500 and features 750 slot machines, 12 table games and a 250-seat buffet. The $30 million project is designed in southwestern adobe-style architecture, and provides breathtaking views of the natural surroundings.
The second project, San Pasqual Casino, will consist of 2,000 slot machines, 60 table games, six food venues, 150-room hotel and a 20,000 square foot convention and entertainment complex. Design work for the permanent complex is nearing completion. The construction period will be approximately eighteen months.
Big Rock Casino Bow
There are two projects anticipated with the Santa Clara Pueblo. The first project Big Rock Casino/Bowl in Espanola, New Mexico opened in May 2001. The $11 million dollar Big Rock Casino/Bowl is a 48,000 square foot casino and bowling center and consists of 355 slot machines, 6 table games, a 24-lane bowling center and a 200-seat restaurant.
The second project is for 750 slot machines, 15 table games, three food venues and a 200-room hotel. The permanent facility is in the design phase and will be ready for construction late 2001. The construction period will be approximately 18 months.
Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center
The project is in construction phase and has a projected opening for Summer 2001. The initial phase of the Golden Acorn Casino and Travel center will be an approximately 70,000 square foot facility that will include the casino and the related entertainment venues, 125-room hotel and restaurant. There will be a premier full service Travel Center that provides amenities to both personal automobiles and commercial trucks.
The site is approximately 55 miles east of San Diego and 55 miles west of El Centro, California. It is located on Interstate 8, which is the main thoroughfare for vehicles traveling to San Diego from the east or to Phoenix from the west.
