Executive Job Seekers Give Casino Careers Valuable Feedback

Northfield, NJ - In its effort to maintain an informative relationship with both Job Seekers and Employers, Casino Careers surveyed over 3,500 senior level job seekers whose expertise matched high level jobs posted in September 2016 on the Job Board.

The executives had extensive experience in disciplines which included Marketing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Facilities, Surveillance, and Information Technology.

Job Seekers were asked why they did not apply for recent career opportunities with Casino-Hotel Resorts, Gaming Technology and Regulatory agencies. Additionally, Casino Careers requested that they provide suggestions that would improve their job search process.

“The recommendations of candidates that we strive to attract, can only benefit the Employers who use our talent acquisition services,” said Joe Conahan, director of recruitment for Casino Careers.

Approximately 50% of respondents noted that the compensation package was the most important reason for not applying to a specific opportunity. Location was also sited by 45% of the responding executive Job Seekers.

Others noted that too many company employment applications requested redundant information, which impeded their application process and in some cases, even stopped them from completing the form.

When asked what information employers could provide to enhance their job search experience, 30% listed “specific details concerning the job location that would help them determine if it was a good place to live and settle down.”

Other suggestions included having Employers:

         • Require experience that matched the duties of a position posted

         • Provide feedback/updates to applicants after they submitted a resume

         • Provide a web site which enabled the applicant to easily upload a professional resume

“We appreciate the feedback from executives who are seeking employment and advancement opportunities on our Job Board," said Beth Deighan, president of the niche job site.

“The beauty of our business model is that we can assist thousands of candidates and hundreds of employers without a search/placement fee. This gives the hired candidate the ability to negotiate a competitive salary. As noted in our survey, compensation is a critical factor to not only attracting employees, but also to retaining them.”
