SUMMARY

Oversees all slot activities on assigned shift in a specific area.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Assists with scheduling, training, counseling and evaluating slot team members. 

 

Verifies check in and out for change banks and Redemption Booths. 

 

Approves slot machine payoffs in assigned area. 

 

Evaluates and motivates slot team members. 

 

Responsible for all guest service related tasks in assigned areas.

 

 

Requirements
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 10 employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two or more years of Slot supervisory experience. Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize MS Office applications. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service and teamwork skills necessary to deliver superior casino resort service to a diverse customer base. Display strong leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external customers. Ability to maintain high confidentiality. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Ability to balance, control, and report significant amounts of cash accountability on assigned shift. Ability to coach, mentor, and support employees, while enforcing company policies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and second hand tobacco smoke.  The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
