Responsible for planning, directing, staffing and controlling departmental operations. Responsible for keeping property and building well-maintained. Interfaces with outside services (utilities, etc.) and agencies. May be called upon to make emergency repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1) Develop realistic, profitable plans for all areas under span of control.
2) Inspects buildings and office areas to evaluate suitability for occupancy, considering such factors as air circulation, lighting, location, and size.
3) Computes square footage available for each member of staff to determine whether minimum space restrictions can be met.
4) Draws design layout, showing location of furniture, equipment, doorways, electrical and telephone outlets, and other facilities.
5) Oversees property and building and maintenance according to established standards of quality.
6) Directs workers engaged in moving furniture and equipment and preparing facilities for regular or special events.
7) Perform emergency repairs.
8) Must be capable of presenting a positive image of the Casino to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
9) Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
10) Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
11) Must develop and implement cost savings initiatives
12) Must have knowledge of the Chiller System
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages up to 4 subordinate managers who supervise a total of up to 12 supervisors and 120 employees combined in the Housekeeping Department, Facilities Department and Uniform Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Also directly supervises one non-supervisory employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must have or be able to obtain California driver's license.
- Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
- Must be able to obtain Tribal Key Gaming License.
- Must pass initial and random drug screens.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and California.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Development software; Including preventative maintenance schedules Inventory software; including bidding and purchasing contracts Order processing systems; Project Management software; Excel and Access or equivalent Spreadsheet software and Word and Outlook or equivalent Word Processing software.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret blue-prints, and develop employees to follow blue print instructions.

Ability to design, develop and implement Policies and Procedures manuals for the department
