JOB SUMMARY: Creates an entertainment environment for all guests. Provides courteous and prompt service in repairing machines. Maintains machine performance through preventative maintenance and evaluation of reports on machine performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the repair, maintenance and general operation of the slot machines;
2. Possesses strong technical skills, both electrical and mechanical. Knowledge of documentation required in machine moves, machine entries, and machine repairs;
3. Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the slot and video games and equipment;
4. Knowledge of department policies and procedures including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines;
5. Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with customers, by handling disputes and making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction;
6. Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention;
7. Ability to handle and secure keys within department guidelines;
8. Builds rapport and coordinates daily functions with support services departments, especially Slot Operations;
9. Coordinates with Slot Shift Supervisors and Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify floor irregularities to a Slot Shift Supervisor, Lead Shift Manager, and Slot Manager;
10. Acts as role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourage others to do the same;
11. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures;
12. Attends all required meetings and training;
13. Performs additional duties as assigned.
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required;
2. Minimum of one (1) year previous experience as a slot technician;
3. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing, with team members, guest and superiors;
4. Knowledge of electrical circuitry, electronics and mechanical devices, able to read and understand circuit board schematics;
5. General knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to Slot Operations preferred;
6. Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound judgments;
7. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management;
8. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English;
9. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays;
10. Must present a professional appearance at all times.
PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino;
2. Must possess the ability to lift up to one hundred and fifty (150) pounds;
3. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, and grip items;
4. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time;
- Must be able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines;
- Must be able to respond calmly to the conditions of internal/external customers;
7. Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and work as part of a team;
