Under the direction of the General Manager, the Director of Slots will be responsible for all aspects of Slot operations; act as department representative for all Amelia Belle Casino and/or Peninsula Gaming, LLC meetings, committees and functions. Administer the Slot Department planning, directions, staffing and controls based on Louisiana State Gaming policies and procedures including the ability to:
- Administer slot department functions of planning, directing, staffing, scheduling, counseling, evaluations and control for all shifts as necessary and/or required;
- Monitor all slot activities for adherence to Amelia and/or Peninsula Gaming policies, division rules and state regulations;
- Safeguard all assets; initiate hand-paid jackpots;
- Authorize credit in accordance with prescribed policy and procedures;
- Provide full authority over the slot department and report any deficiencies to the General Manager;
- Signatory ability on Slot Variance Slips; Slot machine entry authorization log, complimentary, key log as prescribed by Slot and State regulations, jackpots and fill requests, jackpot payout and hopper fill forms;
- Authorization to access sensitive areas of slot machine drop bucket compartments when accompanied by Lead Slot Technician and Security; and
- Perform other incidentals and related duties as required and/or assigned
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree or any appropriate combination of four (4) years of education and supervisory related experience required with extensive background in accounting and/or operations preferred;
- Must have thorough knowledge of Louisiana Gaming Regulations pertaining to slot operations
- Extensive knowledge of computers including all Microsoft software programs;
- Excellent reading, writing, grammar, organizational and communications skills;
- Attention to details, great upbeat attitude, ability to take the initiative, complete cooperation with upper management and other team members; be resourceful;
- Ability to objectively coach team members and lower level management through complex, difficult and emotional issues;
- Must be completely knowledgeable of the basic functions of slot machines, including technical all aspects;
- Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision; and
- Able to organize and prioritize all work in a timely manner.
