Description
We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist III to assist the AR team in our Buenos Aires, Argentina office. This individual will be in charge of AR, accounting close, customer invoicing, collection process, tax related duties along with other AR and accounting related responsibilities. Duties • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes. • Record, store and analyze information. • Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations. • Debit, credit and total accounts on spreadsheets and databases • Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers. • Calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices, account statements and other Job Summary: The person in this position is responsible for performing basic accounting functions as necessary. Recommends and implements appropriate changes to policies and procedures Essential Duties AND Responsibilities: - Review figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
- Record, store, and analyze information
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Debit, credit, and total accounts on spreadsheets and databases.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data used to compile and maintain financial records.
- Maintain journals and ledgers
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures
- Assists in processing month-end close
- Utilizes problem solving techniques to reduce errors and increase efficiency
- Provides training and support to management whenever assistance is required
- Reconciles all accrual, reserve and deposit accounts to documentation specifications.
- Bimonetary entries
- Experience using Bimonetary accounting system
- Manage Collections process by communicating with customers via phone and email
- Performs reconciliations to reflect timely and accurate closing account balance.
- Monthly reporting to corporate headquarters
- Analysis and preparation of local tax information.
- Weekly Aging Reports
- Central Bank Communications

Requirements
Training AND/OR Experience: • Minimum three years experience in Finance or Accounting Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: • Effective oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English • Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing • Good organizational skills • Ability to handle multiple assignments • Understanding of basic accounting principles • Knowledge of business-unit operations and procedures • Effective analytical skills • Good leadership skills; high integrity; customer focused; and quality driven Education: • Bachelor Degree or one in process in one of the following areas is required: Business, Accounting or related field.
