The Director, Project Management is responsible for directing the installation of Aristocrat systems products at customer locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages the installation of company software products at customer locations using a team of Project Managers utilizing standard processes and methodologies.
• Directs the work of systems project management, hardware and software resources and the program office regarding the installation projects at customer locations.
• Reviews daily progress reports from Project Managers and assists them with installation problems as they occur.
• Interfaces directly with customers and account executives to resolve potential problems that would delay the implementation.
• Establishes policies and procedures for the project management and installation staffs to ensure projects are completed in accordance with the project objectives.
• Reviews the sales forecast to ensure that adequate resources are available to accommodate customer needs. Approves project hours and costs and procures necessary hardware related to the project.
• Visits each project during the installation cycle, meeting with the customer and Aristocrat staff to resolve any problems as they occur. May serve as a project sponsor on a particular installation project.
• Manages budgets for the department and internal reporting for the installation process.
• Reviews training needs for all staff and recommends training to improve the quality of the installation workforce. Manage employee development and the achievement of certifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Managers / Supervisors / Team Leaders must:
• Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and contractors within your area of control.
• Ensure all relevant sections of the Health and Safety Management plan are implemented and understood.
• Assess, review the effectiveness and consult with their team on any proposed changes of the OSHA Management System and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure accident / incident investigations are conducted to determine their causes and take appropriate corrective action as required.
• Ensure injured workers are rehabilitated and an early return to the workplace is achieved.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislative requirements.
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or related field, or its equivalent. Project management certifications are required
Experience: Requires eight to ten years of experience in casino systems and project management or its equivalent.
Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
• Proven qualifications in relevant field of experience supporting this position at Aristocrat.
• Must be familiar with current service information systems technology.
• Ability to establish rapport with senior executives.
• Excellent skills required in working across multi-functional teams and supporting business units.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Must be a creative, positive, forward thinker.
• Must be able to works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
• Must be able to work independently and be team oriented.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information regarding the company, products and employee information.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to travel regularly.
